A quality basic education is something which every child should get regardless of their family background and community to which they belong. We strive to get educated in order to experience a good livelihood. As education being an integral part of our life, spreading awareness about education will support development in education system and more opportunities for children to study.

We hope to acquire land (8acres) in Bamunanika Nkuluze village where we shall construct a school for the children, sanctuary for the community and skill cottages for the families to be empowered.

Why?

Distance from home to school

Most of the children at Nkuluze village set off from home by 5:30am to walk a very long distance (8km) to access education, not only that but also hunger exhausts their bodies which affects their concentration during their learning.

Children at Nkuluze village cannot afford to pay their school dues and scholastic due to poverty, death of their guardians.

Many rural school districts face concerns that stem from the current demographic and economic state of rural areas, the lack of technological infrastructure, and the difficulty of hiring and retaining teachers. Like their urban counterparts, many rural residents face extreme levels of poverty.

50% of women in Uganda are married off by the age of 18 (with 10% by age 15). Women also have an average birth rate of 5.59 children, compared to a global figure of 2.5. Uneducated and overwhelmed with responsibilities, women are faced with an enormous strain caring for their children. Those without a financially supportive husband or relative, struggle to clothe and feed their children – let alone send them to school. The cycle of poverty continues…unless we act:
