Philia Children's Village is Non profit Organisation based on Christian values, the forefront being LOVE. In everything that we do, we are committed to reflect the purpose and character of Jesus, treating and recognizing all people as Jesus would. We acknowledge the God-given gift of free will and we pass that gift along to the communities we serve. It is a personal decision to accept and believe the same. We do not discriminate but abide in Jesus’ love, accepting everyone as they are and loving them unconditionally.
Prior to the establishment of Philia Children’s Village, it was founded on a Christian foundation and strongly believes that all things are possible with God. Years ago the founder (Karim Joel) travelled for a mission trip to lead worship and also preach to the saints of God at Bamunanika village whilst he was at the village, he left in a sorrowful state about the suffering children who were sickly, homeless and with less parental care and support. The same with their parents who were drained in poverty and lack. Many of these children did not have parents and lived with a single parent and most of these were mothers.

Karim Joel who is originally from Kampala, Uganda was raised by a single mother after the death of his father while he was still a toddler and he grew up amidst poverty, hardships and challenges but did not give up because he was always loved by his single mother and this gave him hope to grow and also become a responsible person in the community. Because he was loved,Karim has always had a dream of seeing himself share the same Love with other people around him most especially the children who are less privileged, orphans and the single mothers. He is a person of faith who believes that with God all things are possible and through Philia children's Village Uganda , he extends his love through the life changing support and leadership to the less privileged privileged children and the single mothers .
